In a Head of HR role, Jabu helped Airbnb move from 40 people to 500 in under 2 years, scaling the company into a new HR office in San Francisco and 12 offices in 12 different companies internationally. She intentionally grew the company to focus on the inclusion of all types, while growing a 10 person team to assist her in building out the operations side of the company.
This included Payroll, HRIS, Compliance, Compensation leveling, etc., all while learning international HR, compliance, hiring and relocation processes.
She has repeated that type of scaling and building at companies like TaskRabbit (30 to 100), Shyp (16 to 300) and worked most recently as a CPO (Chief People Officer) at a company called Abstract, growing it inclusively from 27 to 100+, while building a 7 person recruiting/HR team.
She also consults with startups like Red Bay Coffee, The Detox Market, Velano Vascular, LucidWorks, Descartes Labs, Meow Wolf, Better Company, SHYP Inc., Omada Health, Tapingo, Toca Boca, Everlane, RadPad, EatWith, and PlanGrid.
She is open to working with companies as small as 1 person, offering CEO coaching as well as operations support.
